Chataka Bird

Chataka Bird, a digital ink wash style painting. 2013
The mythological chataka bird never comes down to land but drinks from clouds on the wing. It is also said to lay its eggs in the air so high that they hatch before they reach the ground. The young then soar up into the sky immediately. The painting is inspired by the "om" syllable.

Tulips (2012)

Tulips (2012) Digital art © MWright 2012 Painted using Brushes app. It is based on one of Moira Maitland's oil paintings so I take no credit for composition. It was an exercise I completed surprisingly quickly. Having mucked around with digital painting for a couple of weeks, I feel I am beginning to get the hang of it.  :)

Bath is Ready
